Vernon L. Williams and a small production crew will be traveling to Mexico City on March 10th to interview some of Pancho Villa’s family members who have agreed to participate in the project. The family traces their link to Villa through Villa’s son, Jose Trinidad Villa who was born in 1921, just two years before Villa was ambushed and killed in Parral.
While in the city, Dr. Williams plans to meet with several historians whose scholarship deals with the Mexican Revolution and Pancho Villa. Williams expects that these academic interviews will provide some balance on Villa’s position in history today and how the Mexican people view him through the contemporary lens.
As the interviews unfold, additional news releases will be forthcoming to keep you up to date.
